Hawkes undertook a major kitchen development for us that involved knocking three rooms into one in a listed building. The project included multiple huge steels to be installed. All the services up through the house re-routed. New french windows with bespoke bricks to match existing. As well as overcoming numerous technical issues as the project developed. The results are amazing as you can see in the pictures below and I highly recommend them.

We recently had a single-storey extension completed by Joe and the team at Hawks Developments, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.

From the initial quotation through to completion, the whole process was organised, professional and stress-free. Joe kept us updated throughout the project, the team arrived when they said they would, and the work was completed exactly in line with the agreed programme.

The quality of workmanship is excellent, the attention to detail really shows, and nothing was ever too much trouble. It’s refreshing to work with a builder who delivers exactly what they promise.

We would highly recommend Hawks Developments to anyone looking for a reliable, professional building company. Thank you again to Joe and the whole team for transforming our home!

We appointed Joe Hawkes to carry out our building renovation and extension, with work commencing on 5th January 2026. Joe’s quotation was one of several we received, but we chose him because of the detail in his quotation and the clear schedule of works he provided.

Throughout the project, Joe demonstrated an excellent ability to resolve and adapt to the inevitable construction issues and challenges that arise during a major renovation. His positive and practical approach to problem-solving created a great atmosphere throughout the build. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and the scheduled progress of the works was consistently maintained.

Joe has helped us achieve everything we envisioned for bringing our home up to date and creating living spaces that genuinely meet the needs of our growing family. We now have spaces that allow us to enjoy social occasions and multi-generational family gatherings both indoors and outdoors, while also achieving the modern, sleek look we wanted.

Importantly, Joe helped us retain some of the original character and feel of our Victorian 1901 home, successfully combining its period features with a contemporary extension and modern living spaces.

We are extremely pleased with the finished result and would have no hesitation in recommending Joe Hawkes to anyone looking for a reliable, skilled and professional builder. His communication, adaptability, attention to detail and positive approach made what could have been a stressful project a very positive experience.

Hawks Developments recently completed the building work for a full kitchen and kitchen dining room renovation. I thoroughly recommend them - Joe and his team worked hard on a very tricky project, interfacing with the specialist kitchen company, with excellent communication and the finished product is outstanding. Joe personally was a pleasure to work with - attending site to look at any issues no matter how small. All in all an excellent job well done!

We’ve just completed a full house renovation with Joe and his team, including a new front driveway. Inside, the renovation included a brand-new kitchen and two new bathrooms. We also had some damp issues that needed addressing, and Joe and the team organised and resolved everything for us without any hassle.

They’ve been very professional throughout, all work has been completed to a great standard, and everything was finished on time from start to finish in line with the agreed programme and payment plan. We’re really happy with the end result and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Joe and his team.
